Cystic Fibrosis and the Gerson Therapy

Zoey Stimpson's Inspiring Story

Zoey Stimpson works with people to liberate their wellbeing and reclaim their deepest Self as; a Wellness Mentor, Trauma-Informed Transformational Facilitator, Somatic Healer, Embodiment Guide, Birth Doula, Yoga & Meditation Teacher and Certified Coach. Zoey is committed to sharing all of what she’s learned through the beauty and mess of her own life with trauma-informed somatic integrity, she makes the most out of her wildly precious life, embracing all of who she is, loves courageously and stand up for what she believes.

Zoey has Cystic Fibrosis also known as CF, which is a spectrum, genetic disease that affects the cells that produce mucus, sweat and digestive fluids, causing the body to produce excess mucus. The immune system is primarily working to get rid of the mucus so people with CF are extremely susceptible to infections. Zoey has had CF her whole life but was only diagnosed at age 37, after years of sinus infections, pneumonia, anti-biotics, hospitalizations, tests and ultimately being misdiagnosed by doctors and specialists. There is no known cure for CF and being a mom of 2 young kids, Zoey had had enough of being sick, and reached out to Nicolette for support.

As my body is healing, I’m removing a threat, that my body is constantly fighting, and the threat is not just CF, it’s the tonicity, it’s the nutrient deficiency. Mind body connection, your biology is your biography, you biography is your biology, so there just directly related and so if you can just trust and know that process and just how robust that is, you’ll never know until you’re in it, how well you’ll feel or how open you are to Gerson, even though it feels like so much, it’s is a lot, if I write it down on paper, there’s so much that happens in a day, [but] there’s a natural flow [and] cycle of doing it.

On today’s podcast Nicolette, Zoey and her husband, Mike, discuss their journey on the Gerson Therapy. Topics include salts that heal and salts that harm, CF and Estrogen, coffee enemas, and the importance of advocating for yourself. Zoey describes what’s it’s like to live with Cystic Fibrosis and the shock of learning how antibiotics were becoming less effective with each use. They also share their experience at the Baja Therapy clinic, where she was the sickest person and possible the first patient visiting with CF. Zoey says she is blessed to be knee deep in the Gerson therapy and describes her wholesome daily routine which 100% revolves around her health and healing.

“This feels so wholesome, I’m so fortunate to be knee deep in Gerson right now or head deep in Gerson, my family, my kids. […] This commitment has rippled and created a community.”
